Iran has executed a man after convicting him of working with Israel’s Mossad intelligence service and sharing missile intelligence with the country on Saturday.

The man, identified as Hossein Pedaran, was arrested in Isfahan on allegations that he shared information about missile sites and sensitive military locations with the enemy, Judiciary official Mizan News reported.

The report said that Pedaran provided Mossad  information on sensitive ​military sites ​in the central province of Isfahan, and had ​carried out ​the espionage for financial ​gain based on his confession/

According to his account, he messaged the CIA offering to cooperate and received no reply. He then contacted Mossad. He was answered to by an officer who called himself Ben via a Dutch WhatsApp number,

Pedaran said he sent them encrypted reports on the military facilities and staff and their personal details and spouses' phone numbers . He also used multiple SIM cards registered to others and was given a remote control device that could take hidden photographs.

Mizan said Pedaran had cut contact before the war and tried to reach Mossad again by Telegram once it began, and was arrested.

Espionage cases in Iran are heard by Revolutionary courts. At least a dozen people have been executed in the country for espiongae pr Mossad collaboration since the June 2025 war.

In 2025, there were about 1639 recorded executions in the country, according to Iran Human Rights.
