"We trapped one of the most modern, intelligent and unmanned submarines of the terrorist American army at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. This submersible is equipped with the latest technologies," the Revolutionary Guards Navy said.
Iran's state media described the vessel as a Dive-LD, a large uncrewed underwater vehicle built by Anduril, a California defense firm. The 5.8-metre submarine drone can carry out anti-mine operations, map seabed and inspect underwater infrastructure like pipelines and cables.
