Days after Iran’s Islamic regime called for revenge on US President Donald Trump for the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, a report claimed that a Western intelligence agency unearthed evidence related to Iran’s plot to assassinate Trump on Turkish soil.

According to a report that appeared on Israeli Channel 12, this information prompted a  change to Trump’s plane before takeoff. Trump had flown home from Turkey after  attending the NATO meeting aboard an older Air Force One plane last week due to a lack of defensive capabilities onboard his new luxury jet gifted to him by Qatar. Security personnel said they felt more comfortable with the President aborad the older plane.

However, the latest report said Iranian officials viewed Trump's visit to Turkey as a rare  opportunity to carry out such an operation. Israeli intelligence reportedly learnt about the plot and conveyed it to the Americans.

The information included a quote from an Iranian official who said, "This is our opportunity, there will be no better opportunity than this," referring to President Trump's visit to Turkey.

The report, which was presented with the approval of military censorship, claimed Iranian officials saw Trump's arrival in Turkey as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The report said the manner of takeoff from Ankara was also unusual. Trump boarded the old plane quickly, before the journalists accompanying him had time to watch him or film him ascending the stairs, contrary to standard procedure. Additionally, passengers were asked to remove window coverings before takeoff.

The White House did not comment on the matter, but noted that Trump himself said this week: "They want to eliminate the leader of the United States - me. I'm on every list they have. I saw it this morning. So far I may have been a little lucky, but I'm not sure it will last."

Trump once again threatened to destroy Iran  in a post on Truth Social.  “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he wrote, declaring that the US military stood ready “for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran—PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!”
