While the grand reception accorded to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed  bin Salman in Washington set tongues wagging, it was First Lady  Melania Trump’s stunning dress that caught the attention of many. The  former model-turned-First Lady wore an Emerald Green dress  at the dinner her husband hosted for the Crown Prince in Washington.

Melania’s strapless emerald dress was designed by renowned Lebanese designer Ellie Saab. The stunning dress included ruching throughout the bodice and skirt, accentuating her already stunning figure. The dress had a modern edge to it, thanks to the subtle front slit.  The dress is priced at $3,350.

Interestingly, many believe she chose the dress as a way to pay tribute  to Saudi Arabia’s green flag, while others believed it had no particular message.

One asked whether it was “a nod to regional colors” or whether it might be “routine color choices in fashion” rather than a diplomatic message.

“Melania’s dress once again demonstrated that, on the world stage, fashion is just as prone to misinterpretation as diplomacy. Even the simplest color choices can stir up an international storm of commentary,” one user wrote.

Anyhow, her appearance won over netizens, who lavished praise on her style. “Interesting fabric treatment. Jersey with a coating that makes it look like leather,” one user said.
