A global conference organised by Interpol has kicked off in Abu Dhabi, focusing on strengthening the collective fight against corruption and coordinating efforts to recover illicit assets. The event aims to enhance cooperation between countries and international organisations in combating this global crime.

The conference is jointly organised by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Interpol, and the UAE Accountability Authority. Representatives from more than 90 countries, along with senior officials from various international bodies and over 200 global experts and specialists, are attending the event.
Hosting this international conference reflects the UAE’s leadership and commitment to supporting global efforts to combat corruption and protect public funds, said Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police. He noted that the forum will also strengthen international collaboration and encourage the exchange of best practices and expertise in tackling complex financial crimes.
Highlighting the scale of participation, Brigadier General Dr Rashid Mohammed Borshid, Director of the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Interpol Global Conference on Anti-Corruption and Asset Recovery, said that more than 40 international speakers are addressing the sessions.
