Here are five latest developments from Israel on Friday evening IST as the conflict refused to slow down:
1. As many as 25 missiles were launched by Iran in its latest strikes targeting Israel. However, the incoming projectiles were detected in advance by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which triggered sirens across the country, allowing citizens time to seek cover.
2. The latest barrage of Iranian rockets reportedly targeted Haifa, central Israel, and southern Israel. Citizens were later informed by the government that they could leave bunkers, underground subways, and other shelters, as the attack had ended, The Times of Israel reported.
3. Two Israelis were injured in Haifa after shrapnel from an Iranian projectile struck the area. According to Hebrew news reports, the condition of one injured teenager is critical, while the second survivor is reported to be out of danger.

4. The IDF’s ground-based Barak air defense system was activated on Friday to intercept incoming Iranian drones, according to statements from Tel Aviv. It was the first time the Barak system had been used in combat, according to reports.
5. The Iranian response came within an hour of the IDF confirming that Israeli fighter jets had carried out fresh strikes in western and central Iran. The IDF reportedly clarified that only Iranian military positions were targeted by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), according to The Times of Israel.
