Ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's Jantar Mantar protest in Kochi, Kerala, on Saturday, Abhijeet Dipke urged people to join the stir, demanding the withdrawal of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

"It's not over until we say it's over. Gyanu must go!" said Dipke in his post.

The protest is scheduled for 4 pm at Rajendra Maidan.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and actor-activist Prakash Raj are among those scheduled to attend the protest. CJP national leader Afreen Nawaz and its South India in-charge Vijay Reddy Mallangi will also take part.

The Kochi protest will be CJP's first major protest after the Delhi crackdown last month while attempting to hold a demonstration at Jantar Mantar against CEC Gyanesh Kumar and the SIR row.

CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were arrested after entering Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The Delhi Police had denotified the site as a designated protest venue last month.

Dipke was detained ahead of the Tiranga March announced by the party in Delhi later.

The Delhi Police crime branch also recently questioned CJP leaders in connection with cases linked to protests in the national capital.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh alleged that CJP was funded by the anti-organisations operating within and outside the country.

While speaking to the media, Singh said that there was sufficient evidence to show that Dipke was receiving funds from unauthorised sources.

While responding to the minister's allegation, CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka asked: "Why were you negotiating with us then?"

Saurav Das also hit back at the minister, saying that his allegations were "baseless".

"So far, no evidence or justification has been provided. Our first press conference was held on June 3, and ever since then, we have been asking the same question: What is the basis of your so-called allegation?" said Das.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on the CJP protest said that, "We believe in democracy; let them protest. Let's see what people think."

“Please come and join this protest against SIR,” Prakash Raj wrote on X, appealing to others to participate in the protest march.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka appeared at the Delhi Police Crime Branch office in Rajouri Garden on Thursday after being called for questioning. The questioning is linked to cases involving protests held at the denotified Jantar Mantar site in October, officials said.

The officials also said that their actions violated the peace bond they had signed on October 11.
