Cockroach Janta party leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka were released on Sunday after being detained for approximately 24 hours by the Delhi police prior to their planned Jantar Mantar protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Cockroach Janta party leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were released on Sunday after being detained for around 24 hours by the Delhi police ahead of their Jantar Mantar protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar.

The three were detained from an Air India flight shortly after they landed in Delhi by a Delhi Police team comprising only women personnel on Saturday.

They were then produced before an Executive Magistrate at Delhi Cantonment on Sunday morning.
The CJP’s legal head, Ratna Singh, said that they were released on the condition that they would not do anything that would be considered a breach of peace for one year.

In a post on X, the CJP said, “Finally Delhi Police is forced to release Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das. Cockroaches never die."

Dipke had announced that there will be further protests on Sunday at the Jantar Mantar at around 10 am. The party, along with the All India Students Association, called on supporters to protest over alleged irregularities.

The CJP also said they will hold a press conference at 2 pm.

Meanwhile, the grandmother's funeral was put on hold at his Maharashtra village as family members wait for Dipke. In a statement, Delhi police said on Saturday that they informed Dipke of his grandmother's passing in the morning.

Over 3000 protests including politicians, were detained and released later at night.

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was also detained and released at around 3 am on Sunday.
