A 20-year-old tribal woman from Assam's Kamrup district, who went missing during a train journey from Visakhapatnam to Guwahati, was found dead in Andhra Pradesh. 

The girl was identified as Himashree Boro. 

According to a complaint filed by the woman's mother, she was travelling on the Dibrugarh Vivek Express. She boarded the train from Visakhapatnam at 11:50 pm on October 5 and was headed to Guwahati. The train left Visakhapatnam at 12:10 am and was scheduled to reach Guwahati at 9:05 am on October 7. 

The woman was a student of B Borooah College in Guwahati. She had gone to Andhra Pradesh for a dance performance and was returning home, said her mother. 

The family last spoke to her on Tuesday, October 6 at 2:39 am. 

In her last message, the woman said that she was afraid as there were a lot of men around her. 

CCTV footage shows that she was walking along a railway platform before boarding the train. She was seen walking on the platform when an unidentified man approached her and appeared to attempt a conversation. As the train started moving, she boarded the train along with other passengers. 

The man who had approached her also appears to attempt to board the train but later gets off. 

The complained was registered with the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Guwahati and also lodged through the Railways helpline 139. 

After the complaint was received, the railway police began searching for the woman along the route after her bag was found in the S2 coach of the Dibrugarh Vivek Express. 

Her family members also alleged that the men travelling with her had made obscene gestures towards Boro. 

The Railway Protection Force had found her body in a forested area near Malayapuram in Andhra Pradesh, NDTV reported.
