Southern Indian states may receive rainfall in the coming days, but not with the intensity to hinder daily life, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) release said on Thursday. However, widespread rainfall is predicted in southern Karnataka until September 30, Wednesday, while scattered rainfall should be expected in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from September 25 to 30.
Earlier, the IMD had predicted that isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over Kerala and Lakshadweep during September 26–28 (Saturday to Monday), while Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal may also get isolated rainfall between September 22 and 28.
"Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall likely over Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep during 24th–26th September; Coastal Karnataka during 24th–25th September and on 30th September; North Interior Karnataka and Telangana on 24th September; South Interior Karnataka during 29th–30th September; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during 24th–25th September," it had said.

Isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over Rayalaseema.
