The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sought registration of a separate FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the CMRL case. The ED is investigating the role of Veena T, daughter of Pinarayi Vijayan, in the CMRL-Exalogic financial controversy, which involves alleged illegal monthly payouts and financial transactions without valid services rendered.

The ED has sent a detailed report to the DGP on evidence recovered in CMRL case under Section 66(2) of PMLA. Besides Vijayan, the agency also sought to file a separate FIR against Mohamed Riyaz, Veena’s husband and former Cabinet Minister.
