Police have a fresh lead into the alleged murder of Pune-based businessman Ketan Agarwal after they allegedly recovered d some of the deleted chats from the mobile of the main accused, Siya Goyal.
According to cops, one of the recovered conversations was between Siya and one of her friends on Snapchat. Goyal reportedly asks the friend to send both the front and back of the friend's Aadhaar card so that she can book “wedding tickets”, News18 reported.
The message reads, “Aadhaar card front back bhej de. For wedding tickets jo hone nai wali par fir bhi bhej de," which can be translated roughly as "Send the front and back of your Aadhaar card. It's for booking wedding tickets for a wedding that was never going to happen, but send it anyway."
The friend then replies that the Aadhaar card had already been shared on WhatsApp.
Investigators are trying to determine the context of the conversation and what wedding Siya was referring to.
They said that the chats took place on a date before the murder.
The tests were recorded from delayed data from the accused person’s mobile phones,
Police had earlier said that the they uncovered what seemed to be conversations containing coded language, including nicknames and emojis.
They are trying to decode their meaning.
Both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary are currently in 14-day judicial custody. The two allegedly declined to undergo a polygraph test during the investigations.
