The police have arrested three people in relation to the Tuesday night attack on Khan Sir’s Coaching Institute.
Roshan Anand, the director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, was detained along with two other suspects at Singha police station.
The City Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajesh Ranjan said, “Yesterday, Tuesday night, at around 10 p.m., the billboard at the street corner of the Khan Coaching Centre in Musallahpur was vandalised with bricks and stones. The attackers assaulted Chunchun, a guard at the coaching centre, which resulted in a head injury.”
"Initial reports suggested shots were fired, but all CCTV footage from Khan Coaching and the surrounding areas has been examined. So far, no shots have been fired. Only scenes of brick-and-stone throwing and billboards being vandalised are visible."
A case has been filed in the case based on a complaint by Kanhiya Singh of Khan Coatings.
The complaint named four individuals and 15-20 unnamed individuals as the accused.
Apart from Gyan Binsu, the coaching director, Abhishek and Gaurav were detained.
Meanwhile, Roshan Anand, the main suspect, is being interrogated at the police station.
At 10 pm on Tuesday nigh attacked launched, an attack was launched at Khan Sir’s coaching centre with bricks and stones. They broke the centre's billboards and assaulted the guard, giving him head injuries.
After the incident, Faisal Khan, who runs Khan Sir’s coaching institute, spoke to the media and alleged that shots were also fired outside the coaching centre.
However, CCTV failed to corroborate the claim, and he later retracted his statement, saying that the guard had told him the information he had given to the media.
