As Uttar Pradesh mourns the sudden death of Prateek Yadav, the younger son of  Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and a stepbrother of Akhilesh Yadav, reports claim that his body had turned blue-black.  Prateek, 38, was taken to the civil hospital in the early hours of Wednesday after being found unconscious in the kitchen around 4 am.

Local media reports said Prateek's post-mortem was conducted under the supervision of four doctors from KGMU in the presence of forensic experts. Though there are no hints of any foul play, the viscera have been preserved, the reports added.

However, Mukesh Bahaduri Singh, a cousin of Prateek’s former wife, Aparna Bisht Yadav, denied reports that his body was blue.

“He was found unconscious in the kitchen at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday. We don't know  what it was, whether it was cardiac arrest or something else. The post-mortem has been conducted. It's untrue that Prateek Yadav's body had turned blue. I can't say anything   about what happened right now. We hope to get the results of the post-mortem report this evening,” News 18 quoted Singh.

Civil Hospital director Dr GC Gupta told PTI that Prateek was brought dead to the facility.
"We ran the necessary SOPs, and after confirmation, we informed senior officials and police," Dr Gupta said.

On allegations that he could have been poisoned, Gupta said only a postmortem would  confirm the exact cause of death. Prateek was found unconscious inside the kitchen by an Emergency Medical Officer, Dr Gupta said, "Various things are being said, but I can't say anything for sure."
Meanwhile, Prateek’s former doctor, Ruchita, revealed that the fitness enthusiast was a  longtime patient of hers. She claimed that Prateek had high blood pressure,  hypertension, and diabetes and had been hospitalised for blood clots in his lungs, which had affected his heart. She also revealed that Pratik suffered from shortness of breath.

Meanwhile, the police have also launched an investigation into the matter. Prateek’s bedroom has been sealed, and his mobile phone and laptop have been seized.
