The birth certificate, Aadhaar, and PAN card have confirmed that the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela viral star, who recently married in Kerala with the support of the CPI(M), has completed 18 years of age. The girl had voting rights in Madhya Pradesh, according to documents accessed by Manorama News.

The Madhya Pradesh government had reportedly cancelled the girl's birth certificate on the instructions of the ST Commission after her marriage, the report claimed.

The police have also dismissed the claim that the documents submitted for the marriage were fake, Manorama News said. The Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP submitted a report to the DGP stating that the Aadhaar card and birth certificate submitted for marriage registration were original. The report states that upon verification, it was confirmed that these were not fake and that the individual had completed 18 years of age according to the records.

Meanwhile, a detailed investigation is required to determine if incorrect information was provided during the preparation of the documents. The report by Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP Juvanapadi Mahesh states that an investigation needs to be conducted in Madhya Pradesh to verify this. Conversely, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes' findings and the case registered by the Madhya Pradesh Police suggest that the marriage was conducted using fake documents.

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) concluded that the girl was “forcibly and unlawfully abducted”. The commission has recommended adding stringent sections under the POCSO Act to the already registered case under BNS Section 137 (2) (kidnapping), which was filed based on a complaint by the girl’s father.

The girl, who hails from the Pardhi tribal community and became an overnight internet sensation during the Kumbh Mela, married Farman Khan at the Nainar Temple in Thiruvananthapuram on 11 March.

Several political leaders, including Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty, CPI(M) State Secretary M.V. Govindan, and Rajya Sabha MP A.A. Rahim, attended the inter-religious marriage and issued statements saying it reflected Kerala’s social harmony. The couple had earlier approached the Thampanoor police station in the state capital, claiming that the girl’s family would not accept the relationship and was trying to take her back home against her will. They also maintained that both were adults.

The girl arrived at the Thampanoor police station on 11 March. Her verbal complaint stated that her father had forcibly taken her back to her hometown and was pressuring her into another marriage. The girl also stated that she wanted to live with her boyfriend. The police state that they released the girl according to her wishes after confirming she was 18 years and three months old. Therefore, the police suspect a mystery behind the current case. The police also clarified that it was the girl's father who initially provided the Aadhaar for verification.
