The mystery behind the triple murder of a pregnant woman and her two children on April 1 on the outskirts of Telangana's Warangal city has been resolved by the police. The main accused, Md Azaruddin, has reportedly confessed to killing his wife and children for very selfish reasons — remarriage and fathering a son.
According to the police, Md Azaruddin targeted a minor girl and wanted to marry her. When the girl's parents were told, they were horrified by the married man's advances towards their child and rejected him immediately. The fact that the girl's parents mentioned he already had two children and a third on the way reportedly infuriated him.
A frustrated Azaruddin then took his family to a farmhouse under the pretext of celebrating his daughter's birthday. He managed to get his pregnant wife and children to enter the swimming pool at the farmhouse and drowned them. The Times of India said in a report that the brute held the three submerged in the pool until they died. The idea was to make it look as though they had drowned while playing in the water. Prior to committing the murders, he had also cut the cables of the CCTV cameras.

Md Azaruddin wanted a son, and the realisation that he was going to have a third daughter is said to have instigated his interest in the minor girl. Azaruddin had taken his wife, Farhath, to Suraksha Hospital in Kazipet to meet a Dr S. Ravali. The doctor, accompanied by a nurse identified as Sravanthi, allegedly took Farhath to Neekonda for a sex-determination test, the TOI report said.
"Subsequently, at Dr B. Purnima Upender Hospital, an abortion was suggested and carried out. In this connection, Azaruddin’s family members — Chanda Pasha, Md Saleha, and M. Sharoddin — were arrested, along with paramedical staff Sravanthi, Manohar, Naresh, and V. Bhadru; medical shop owner Satla Raju; and one doctor, Dr B. Parthu. Two women doctors, Dr B. Purnima and S. Ravali, are absconding," the daily said.
A total of ten arrests, including that of Azaruddin, have been made in connection with the shocking case so far. Azaruddin has also been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly trying to dupe a minor girl into marriage.
