The polling for the 227 seats of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recorded a turnout of around 52.94 per cent on Thursday. All exit polls had predicted a clear edge for the BJP–Shinde Sena Mahayuti in Mumbai, while the alliance of the Thackerays was not expected to secure more than 100 seats.

These were the first BMC polls since the 2022 split in the Shiv Sena when Eknath Shinde, now Chief Minister, broke away with a majority of the party's MLAs and allied with the BJP. The undivided Shiv Sena held sway over India's richest civic body for 25 years (1997–2022).

Here are the ten latest results from across Maharashtra as the counting of votes progresses across the municipal corporations:

1. Rekha Ram Yadav and Tejaswi Ghosalkar of the BJP have won from Wards 1 and 2 respectively.

2. Asha Kale of the Congress wins from the Dharavi ward.

3. Prahlad Mhatre of the MNS wins his Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation seat.

4.Ashraf Azmi of the Congress wins Sion-Matunga Ward 165 of the BMC. He defeated Kaptan Malik, brother of senior NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Nawab Malik.

5. BJP state media coordinator and former journalist Navnath Ban wins.

6. Ajit Patil of the BJP wins from Ward 214.

7. Former Pune Mayor Prashant Jagtap, who switched sides to the Congress from the NCP (SP), wins.

8. Mehjabeen Khan of the AIMIM wins from Ward 134 of Mumbai.

9. Vivek Kaloti, cousin of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, bites the dust in the Amravati Municipal Corporation.

10. Yogita Gawli, daughter of underworld don Arun Gawli, was defeated by the BJP in BMC Ward 207.
