Doctors from the government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) informed the police that the man was dead on arrival.
The two had been in a live-in relationship in a flat for the past two years, according to police.
Pamai was unemployed at this time.
According to the initial investigation, Yuh was drinking during the night of the incident. An argument broke out between them over the excessive drinking. Between 3 am and 4 am Pamai tried to make him stop and escalated to become physical. Yuh then beat Pamai after which she picked up the knife from the dining table and stabbed him a number of times in the chest.
Pamai then called his driver, Mandeep Singh. She explained the situation to him, and an ambulance was called. Yub was declared dead at the hospital.
During the interrogation, the woman said that Yuh was physically abusive after drinking. She had stabbed him in a fit of rage with a knife.
Police also found medical kits at the flat, which indicated that she may have tried to stop the bleeding after the stabbing. She had also allegedly asked for help from the neighbours and knocked at their door.
Neighbours who spoke to local media said that the two had been engaged in arguments for the past few days.
Police have said that Yuh’s family in South Korea have been informed. He was a resident of Cheongju, South Korea.
Yuh and Pamai met at a party in Gurgaon before they entered into a relationship.
Additional Superintendent of police, Greater Noida, Sudhir Kumar, said that a murder case has been registered and that the accused was taken into custody. The South Korean embassy was also informed.
