Maharashtra local body polls results: Modi credits 'people-centric approach' for Mahayuti win

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Bharatiya Janata Party's win in Maharashtra local body elections and said the results are a clear indicator that the people of the state are in favour of development politics.

Hailing the BJP-led Mahayuti's victory, Modi said, "Maharashtra stands firmly behind development! I am indebted to the people of Maharashtra for showing trust in the BJP and the Mahayuti in the municipal council and municipal corporation elections. This is a reflection of the trust the people have shown in our people-centric development approach."

In a post on X, Modi added, "We are committed to working with renewed energy to fulfil the aspirations of every citizen in the state. I commend all the workers of the BJP and Mahayuti who toiled right down to the grassroots level."

Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis claimed the BJP has emerged as the largest party in this election. "This victory is just a trailer of what we will see in the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections. I urge every party worker to work even harder and with more efforts for driving us towards greater victories in the future!," Fadnavis tweeted. 

Union ministers Amit Shah and J.P. Nadda also lauded the victory. "his victory is the people's blessings on the vision of the welfare of every section under the central and state governments of the NDA led by Modi ji," Shah tweeted.
