A bomb threat mailed to Bengaluru police commissioner on November 30 warned that a "white collar terror team" is targeting several crowded locations in the city, according to a report.

Purportedly sent by a module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, the email claimed that Kempegowda International Airport and several malls in the city are being targeted, reported ANI.

Bengaluru police have registered an FIR under BNSS Section 173.

The bomb threat mail was sent from a user identified as Mohit Kumar. The malls mentioned in the email include Orion Mall and Lulu Mall in Rajajinagar, Forum South Mall in Konanakunte and Mantri Square Mall in Malleswaram.

"This is a warning from the Jaish-e-Mohammed White collar terror team, we targeted Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, Orion mall, Lulu Mall, Forum South mall, Mantri Square Mall... for bomb blast at 7pm onwards. Thanks to our Allah and our master Mohit for serving our nation better," read the email.

This comes less than a month after a woman techie sent hoax bomb threat to a Bengaluru school. Identified as Rene Joshida, 30, the woman reportedly tried to frame a man after he rejected her romantic advances.
