Counting will be conducted by 243 returning officers (ROs) in the presence of 243 counting observers and the candidates or their agents. Counting will start at 8am and postal ballot counting will be done first. Counting of electronic voting machines (EVMs) will begin thereafter at 8.30am. Counting of postal ballots is to be completed before the penultimate round of EVM counting.
Bihar registered a historic voter turnout of 67.13 per cent in the elections to the 243-member assembly in two phases on November 6 and 11.
