A viral video reportedly captured from Delhi's Nizamuddin Railway Station showed IRCTC employees engaging each other physically. The video, violent in parts, showed the staff taking sides as they slapped, punched and kicked each other with no mercy. Belts were used to swing at each other before some of the men involved picked up dustbins set up at the railway station to attack each other, as the viral video on the internet showed.

The latest social media sensation showed a Vande Bharat train on the platform when the IRCTC employees clashed. Many users on X claimed that the two groups involved in the incident were assigned to the train -- Gwalior-bound 22470 Vande Bharat Express. A verbal disagreement between the two sides escalated quickly and dust bins started flying even as several passengers, including women, stood on the platform. Uniformed RPF personnel were seen interfering to separate the two sides many minutes after the altercation began, the viral clip showed.

THE WEEK couldn't independently verify when exactly the incident took place and why. The time on a clock seen in the viral video showed 5:47. This matches the claim regarding the site of the clash as the Vande Bharat train is to leave Hazrat Nizauddin statuon at 6:00 am in the morning as per the railway timetable. While most men involved in one group wore coats, the others didn’t.

While many users took the incident lightly and to mock IRCTC, others were not willing to dismiss it. "This is completely unacceptable. It's people like this that tarnish the reputation of our railway services," one such user wrote.
