Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah congratulated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad for winning the Delhi University Students' Union elections. The BJP-backed student body swept the polls and won three out of four seats, including the president's post.
The minister posted on X, saying Congratulations to the council's workers on the resounding victory of @ABVPVoice in the Delhi University Students' Union elections.”
“This victory is a reflection of the unwavering faith of the youth in the 'Nation First' ideology. This triumph will further accelerate the journey of transforming the council's student power into national power,” he added.
BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda also congratulated the student body, saying, “This victory shows that the message of 'Nation First' is embraced by today’s young generation, who will lead India towards a bright and strong future.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also congratulated the poll winners at an event saying "Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all young comrades on ABVP's splendid victory in the DUSU election. This victory is not just of an organisation, but of every youth who considers patriotism, discipline, service, and struggle as the guiding path of their life."

The student body celebrated and posted photographs of the three elected students and one who lost, posing in front of Swami Vivekananda’s statue. ABVP made a post on X saying, “The world has witnessed the strength, #DUSU we have won! Heartiest congratulations and best wishes on the historic victory of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on 3 seats in the Delhi University Students' Union elections. Heartfelt thanks to the entire student community for expressing faith in ABVP.”
According to the final figures released by officials, ABVP tally stood at 28,841 for the post of president. NSUI secured 12,546 votes, while AISA got 5,385. Aryan Mann was elected as the president.
For vice president, while NSUI secured 29,339 votes, ABVP got 20,547 votes, and AISA got 4,163 votes.
For the post of DUSU joint secretary, the fourth of the last post for which the election was held, ABVP got 21,825 votes, NSUI 17,380, and AISA 8,425.
About 60,272 students cast their ballots, pushing turnout to 39.36%, up from 35.2% in 2024. 2023 saw the highest turnout with 42%.
