Home Minister Amit Shah is arriving in Jammu tomorrow on a two-day visit to take stock of the situation arising from floods and cloudbursts that have left 110 people dead (mostly pilgrims) and have damaged property and infrastructure.
According to reports, Shah is expected to visit Chashoti, where 67 people—mostly devotees of Machail Mata—were killed and 30 others went missing. He will also tour Katra in Reasi, where 34 Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine devotees were killed and 20 others were injured on August 26 in a landslide at Adhkunwari.
The Home Minister will also chair a security meeting at Raj Bhawan in Jammu, in order to discuss steps taken by the Jammu and Kashmir government to deal with the effects of the monsoon rains.

Meanwhile, 11 people died in fresh cloudbursts and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir this morning. Seven members of a family died in Reasi after landslides hit a house in Mahore.
Their house, located on a slope, was overwhelmed by the landslide, which occurred closely after heavy rains in the early hours of the morning.
The authorities responded quickly and dispatched teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to clear the debris that buried the house.
The administration has also warned people living in landslide-prone areas to remain alert.
In another incident this morning, three people were killed, while five others went missing after a cloudburst struck Rahgarh in Ramban.
The cloudburst triggered flash floods, damaging property. Rescue operations are already underway to trace those missing.
