An Indian Army soldier was killed in a landmine blast on Friday, along the Line of Control (LoC) at Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

Two others were also injured in the blast, which took place during area domination patrolling in the Krishna Ghati area of Poonch, officials said, as per a PTI report.

The report added that the injured—one of whom is a JCO—have been shifted to a military hospital and are in a stable condition.

The deceased soldier has been identified as Agniveer Lalit Kumar of the 7 JAT Regiment, according to an official X post from the Indian Army's White Knight Corps.

"We stand with the bereaved family in this hour of grief," the post added.
