After former Tamil Nadu chief minister and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Edappadi K.Palaniswami put to rest rumours about power sharing if the AIADMK alliance came to power, former Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party president K. Annaamalai said the party would be part of the government.
Reacting on Palaniswami's claim, Annamalai told ANI, "Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said several times that the BJP will be part of the government. The alliance (with the AIADMK) should continue, and we want to defeat the DMK. The Union home minister has also said that we will have a common minimum programme which will be acceptable to both the parties."
Reacting on Shah's claims of the BJP being part of the government if the AIADMK-led alliance comes to power, Palaniswami recently said that the BJP senior only stated that the alliance would capture power.

"He says our alliance will form the government. I have already made it clear who is heading this alliance? So it's my decision, right? Who becomes CM, who forms the government both of us (Shah and I) have made it clear," the former chief minister said.
It has been made clear that the AIADMK will lead the NDA, form the government, and that he will be the CM should the alliance emerge victorious.
