The external affairs ministry slammed Pakistan on Sunday for accusing India of perpetrating recent terror attacks in its Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. As many as 13 Pakistani security personnel were killed in a suicide bombing in Pakistan's North Waziristan district on Saturday.
India slammed Pakistan on Sunday for attempting to blame it for the attacks. Reacting to Pakistan's statement alleging the attack was carried out by an Indian proxy outfit, the external affairs ministry said, "We have seen an official statement by the Pakistan Army seeking to blame India for the attack in Waziristan on June 28. We reject this statement with the contempt it deserves."
As many as 13 security personnel were killed and over 10 persons suffered injuries in a suicide bombing in Pakistan's North Waziristan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. The bomber reportedly rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle belonging to the Bomb Disposal Unit.

According to Dawn, the bomber was targeting to ram into a convoy and was intercepted by the leading vehicle. The militant group Usud al-Harb, a sub-faction of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, has claimed responsibility for the attack, the publication reported.
Pakistan military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) called the attack cowardly and said the terrorists were attempting to attack a security convoy. This incident is considered to be one of the worst attacks in North Waziristan in recent months. Pakistan security forces reportedly killed 14 militants in an operation launched following the attack. According to Pakistani officials, the attackers were identified as Afghan nationals who had infiltrated the region.
