The Congress took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his historic visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Friday and charged he is aware Pahalgam terror attack victims are yet to get justice as those terrorists directly responsible for the attack are yet to be nabbed.
Targeting the prime minister, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X, "The Prime Minister is visiting Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow. Surely he is aware that the terrorists directly responsible for the brutal terrorist attacks at Pahalgam on April 22nd have still not been brought to justice."
The Congress leader charged terrorists who carried out the attack in Pahalgam were also involved in terror attacks in 2023 and 2024. "According to some reports that have not been denied, these very terrorists were also involved in the terror attacks in Poonch in Dec 2023 and in Gagangir and Gulmarg in Oct 2024," he charged.

Prime Minister Modi is visiting Jammu and Kashmir on Friday and he will inaugurate development works worth Rs 46,000 crore. Modi will also flag off the long-awaited Vande Bhart train service to Kashmir from Katra. The prime minister will also inaugurate the Chenab bridge, the world's highest railway arch bridge, and Anji bridge, India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge. The prime will also inaugurate the 272-km Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project during the visit.
Though scheduled earlier, the event was postponed following inclement weather and the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 to avenge the killings of 26 persons in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
