(Trigger warning: Details of sexual violence) Bringing back the horrible memories of the Delhi Nirbhaya case, it was revealed that one of the men arrested for the gangrape of a tribal woman in Madhya Pradesh allegedly put his hand inside her body forcing out the intestines, reports said. The victim died as a consequence of excessive bleeding caused by the brutal torture.
The shocking incident was reported in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The gangrape took place under the limits of the Roshni police outpost on Friday night and the woman died on Saturday at around 2.30 pm. The accused in the case have been identified as Hari (40) and Sunil (35), who have been arrested by the probe team led by Kalwa police station in-charge inspector Jagdeesh Sindya. The victim as well as the two accused reportedly belong to the Kurku tribal community.

It was Hari who put his hand inside the woman's body, forcing her intestines to come out, news agency PTI said quoting the cops. His confession statement said that he unsuccessfully tried to "put them back", possibly upon realising the woman could die. "Hari put his hand inside her body after the sexual assault following which her intestines came out. He tried to put back the intestines, but could not do so... the uterus remained unharmed," Inspector Sindya was quoted as saying by PTI.
The police team are trying to recover a blood-soaked bed roll from the cot from the crime scene to nail the duo. The initial post-mortem report is awaited, the police officer said. The accused have been charged under sections 66 (causing death), 70 (1) (gangrape) and 103 (1) (murder punishment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
