Maharashtra Cyber, a cyber and information security division of the state police, has issued fresh summons to social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia over his obscene remarks during the web show 'India's Got Latent' show.
Allahbadia had been asked to appear before the police to record his statement on the issue, but he didn't turn up. Now he has been summoned again to join the investigation on February 24, an official told PTI.
Allahbadia is in the middle of a massive row after his crass remarks about parents and sex on the show hosted by comedian Samay Raina drew backlash.
The podcaster has apologised for his remarks and said he would cooperate with the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cyber has also summoned Raina and asked him to appear before the agency on February 18.
According to reports, Raina, who is in the US for his show, had requested Maharashtra Cyber to record his statement via video conferencing, but the agency has rejected his request.
