In the probe related to 'controversial' remarks made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia on India's Got Latent show, comedian Samay Raina has been given time till March 10 to appear before the Mumbai Police.
Allahbadia, popularly known as 'BeerBiceps', sparked a massive controversy about sex and parents on the show run by Samay Raina. The controversial episode has been deleted from YouTube following an uproar and the intervention of the police.
Two FIRs have been registered against Allahbadia and Raina.
Mumbai Police allowed more time for Raina as he was on a tour of the United States. An official said that Raina's lawyer had met with senior police officials and sought more time.

Meanwhile, police officials said that they were unable to contact Allahbadia as his phone was switched off, reported PTI.
Allahbadia had earlier requested the Khar police to record his statement at his residence, but it was turned down.
Though police went to his flat in the Versova area on Friday, it was locked.
On the complaint of a BJP functionary, Mumbai police recorded statements of eight persons, including Makhija, Chanchalani and Allahbadia's manager.
Maharashtra cybercell has summoned and recorded statements of at least 50 persons in connection with the case. Among those who were questioned, included participants in the show.
Cases were filed against judges and guests of the show for using "vulgar and obscene" language on the show. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned judges of the show, including Allahbadia, Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and the show's producers.
"It violates the dignity and respect owed to every individual, particularly in a society that upholds equality and mutual respect," said NCW in a statement.
