According to reports, the young Bangalore South BJP MP Tejasvi Surya is all set to tie the knot with renowned classical singer Sivasri Skandaprasad. Though no official statement has been released from either side, the nuptials are set to be conducted on March 4, 2025, in Bangalore.

About Sivasri Skandaprasad
Born on August 1, 1996, the Chennai-based singer is the daughter of Seerkazhi Sri J. Skandaprasad, a Mridangam virtuoso, who was her first introduction to the world of music. Her skilful singing is vibrantly portrayed through her specialisation in Carnatic music. Aside from serenading listeners, she is also a Bharatanatyam dancer.
Sivasri completed her bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Sastra University but chose to pursue a career in the arts, earning a Bharatanatyam degree from the University of Madras. In addition, she is also a student of Sanskrit and obtained a certification in Ayurvedic cosmetology.
The 28-year-old also has a YouTube channel amassing over 200,000 subscribers. Her first video uploaded sixteen years ago, shows a then 12-year-old Sivasri mastering the art of Bharatanatyam. She first gained recognition when Prime Minister Modi praised her rendition of the Kannada devotional song Poojisalende Hoogala Thande. “To be mentioned by such people is a great encouragement for young artistes like me and to understand the value of culture and responsibility that every citizen holds in carrying this legacy forward,” she said in an interview with the One India One People Foundation.

Sivasri made her cinematic debut in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1, singing Helhe Neenu alongside maestro A. R. Rahman.
The singer-dancer is also the founder of Ahuti, a platform that encourages the growth of 64 Indian art forms, focusing on dance and music, ensuring its growth, and training future generations to be holistic individuals.
Outside her artistic pursuits, Sivasri enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling, trekking, and walking, which she shares in common with her soon-to-be husband. She recently completed the 4th edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Goa, along with Tejasvi – who became the first MP to compete.

Reports indicate that both Tejasvi and Sivasri’s family have started the wedding preparations. The 34-year-old politician, who has remained tight-lipped so far, is expected to announce the happy news soon.
