Harini, who has been practicing Bharatanatyam for six years, has previously performed in Thiruvannamalai to promote the cause of world peace. Chief Minister Vijayan praised the young artist's efforts today during his media address.
Kerala is hopeful that the central government will declare the Wayanad landslides a national disaster and a disaster of extreme severity. The Union Home Ministry has appointed a nine-member committee, led by Joint Secretary Rajeev Kumar, to assess the disaster's severity and submit a report. Kumar visited chief minister today.
Kerala expects that following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Wayanad on August 10, a comprehensive aid package will be announced. The chief minister has already written a detailed letter to the prime minister regarding this matter.
