Third fuse of Congress, INDIA off after third phase of polling, claims Modi

Claims Congress and BRS work on the principle of 'family first'

India Election Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, claimed that the "third fuse" of the Congress and INDIA grouping was off after the just-concluded third phase of polling.

The third phase of Lok Sabha elections in 93 constituencies spread over 11 states and Union territories took place on Tuesday. Nearly 65 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the third phase.

Addressing an election campaign meeting in Karimnagar of Telangana, Modi said, "Yesterday, the third phase of elections in the country has been completed. 'Congress aur INDI alliance ka teesra fuse ud gya hai'..."

Hitting out the opposition, Modi said the BJP always works on the 'nation first' policy whereas the Congress and BRS work on the principle of 'family first'. "Their political parties are like 'by the family, for the family, of the family'. The Congress and BRS are no different and what connects them? Corruption, appeasement politics and the model of zero governance connect these two parties..."

He claimed that due to this policy of 'family first', the Congress has disrespected former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao and even after his death, they denied the entry of his dead body in the Congress' office.

Taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Modi said from Telangana to Delhi, there is a lot of discussion about the 'double R' (RR) tax. "A film named RRR was released a few days back in Telugu. Someone told me that 'RR' has left behind RRR in the collection. It is reported that 'RRR' has a lifetime collection of over Rs 1000 crore, but this much money is just a few days collection of 'RR' tax."

Before addressing the rally, Modi offered prayers at Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple at Vemulawada, about 150 km from Hyderabad.
