Only 32 people managed to get government jobs in the last two years in Gujarat -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state, reports said. The shocking information on government hiring comes at a time when the state has a total of 2.38 lakh unemployed candidates who registered for employment with various departments, official data showed.

Then there is a list of another 10,757 people who were listed under partially-educated. However, only 32 of them managed to land a job in the same period. Of these, 22 were in Ahmedabad, 9 in Bhavnagar, and one in Gandhinagar, The New Indian Express (TNIE) said in a report.

Gujarat Industries Minister Balwantsinh Rajput revealed the data in response to a question posed by Congress MLA, the TNIE report said.
