Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his year-end post on social media platform X and charged the promises made by the government in 2022 did not happen and its “lies are strongest”.
Kharge said, “Narendra Modi ji, Today is the last day of 2023. You said that only till 2022… Every farmer's income will double; Every Indian will have a house and 24x7 electricity; and the economy will be worth $5 Trillion. All this did not happen.” Kharge charged, “Every Indian knows that BJP's lies are the strongest!”
Congress has been criticising BJP for its poor handling of economy and failure to address farmers’ issues, two of its major poll planks in the coming Lok Sabha polls.
