Kerala shocker: Car-borne gang kidnaps girl en route to tuition school in Kollam

A 6-year-old girl on her way to private lessons with her sibling was kidnapped by a gang in Kerala's Kollam district on Monday evening. The girl identified as Abigel Sara Reji, daughter of Oyoor-native Reji, was reportedly abducted by a car-borne gang around 4:40 PM, reports said. Abigel's mother later received a phone call demanding a ranson of Rs 5 lakh to release the child. 

The police have initiated a probe based on CCTV visuals that confirmed that the four abductors used a white Honda car to commit the crime.

According to Abigail's eight-year-old brother who witnessed her kidnap, the kidnappers tried unsuccessfully to drag him into the vehicle as well. However, he managed to escape unhurt and reach his family. Soon, the police were informed by the girl's family, Malayala Manorama reported. 

Brother puts up a fight, but...

According to the boy, there were three men and a woman in the car. They all donned masks and looked unfamiliar, the boy told Manorama Online. "They offered us a paper asking us to deliver it to our mom. I refused to take it. It was then they dragged her. I had a stick in my hand and I hit them with it. But they refused to let go and dragged me through the road," the boy said.
