A day after questioning Mahua Moitra's demand to cross-examine Darshan Hiranandani, who has turned approver in the 'cash for query' case, BJP parliamentarian Nishikant Dubey launched yet another attack on the embattled Trinamool Congress MP on Saturday.

In the latest claim, the BJP MP alleged that the TMC leader is trying to influence the witness in the 'cash-for-query' case and urged Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to take action against the “Dubai Didi”.

"According to the information, Darshan Hiranandani and Dubai Didi (MP Mahua Moitra) are in touch. An attempt is being made to influence the witness @loksabhaspeaker to take action," the BJP MP claimed in a post on X.

Drawing parallels to ex-MP Raja Ram Pal who was allegedly involved in a 2005 'cash-for-query' scam, Dubey shared a link that includes a letter written by the former lawmaker to the Prime Minister's Office about the corrupt practices of the then Power Ministry officials.

Urging his followers to read Pal's December 2005 letter to "know the nature of Mahua" and named her a "thief", Dubey said in a post written in Hindi, "There is a similarity between Mahua ji and Raja Ram Pal ji, who asked questions about money and was expelled from Parliament during the Congress rule in 2005. Pal ji was fighting against corruption of Reliance, hence he was expelled, Mahua ji Adani. Is this why you are fighting?"

"Read Raja Ram Pal ji's letter and compare that with Mahua's nature and signature. The BSP Member of Parliament Raja Ram Pal was regularly writing to the Prime Minister....Raja Ram Pal ji speaks Hindi, is poor. She is a thief, Mahua ji speaks English, she is friends with the rich, is she honest?" he added.

Dubey on Friday called out Moitra over a typo in his name in a letter to Ethic Committee chairman Vinod Sonkar. After 'Dubey' was misspelled as 'Dubai', the BJP MP mocked Moitra by referring to her as 'Dubai didi'.

In the letter to the ethics panel chief on Friday, Moitra sought to postpone her appearance before the panel after November 5 as she has prior commitments in her constituency amid Durga Puja festivities in West Bengal.

In response, Dubey said, "The accused MP is so intoxicated by Dubai that even my name has been changed to Dubai in the letter written to the Chairman of the Ethics Committee. By changing my name, 'Mohtarma' has described her mental condition."
