BJP President J.P. Nadda took a dig at Congress and said the party can guarantee loot and corruption is in the DNA of Congress. Nadda accused the Congress party of using Karnataka as an ‘ATM’.
The BJP President’s comments come in the backdrop of recent IT raids at multiple places in Karnataka, in which over Rs 50 crore was recovered including from residences of some civil contractors in the state. Nadda tweeted, “The Congress Party has mastered the art of making promises and now this party has gone a step ahead and has started giving guarantees in return for promises. It has recently been revealed that cash worth more than Rs 100 crore has been found in the houses of some contractors in Karnataka, which is extremely shameful and a disgusting joke on the voters.”
Nadda said it was just a small sample of the corrupt DNA of Congress. “With Congress coming to power, corruption has spread like the mouth of Surasa in Karnataka. These same Congress-backed contractors were active in serving lies against the BJP during the Karnataka Assembly elections,” Nadda added. Commission allegations made by a section of contractors were the major campaign theme of Congress in the recent Assembly elections in the state.
“It is the misfortune of Karnataka that the Congress government has made it an ATM for money laundering, corruption and raising money for the upcoming elections. Obviously, the guarantee that Congress can give is always the guarantee of corruption,” the BJP president tweeted. Nadda charged that the Congress governments in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have turned the states into ATMs of corruption and “want to loot the people's hard-earned money by making Telangana and Madhya Pradesh similar ATMs”. The BJP President charged that Congress is dreaming of coming to power in Madhya Pradesh and Telangana so that it can loot people’s money.
