The Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha has declared its unvarnished support to Israel and also offered to send thousands of volunteers to fight against Hamas.
Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, the Mahasabha’s president said, “It is our duty to wipe off the terrorist organization Hamas. Our volunteers are ready to go and fight for Israel.” He further suggested that all Indians staying in Israel should not return. “They should stay back and help to finish off Hamas. This is an hour of crises; we need to stand by Israel”.
“The Hamas attack is cowardly. The manner in which it has rained thousands of missiles on Israel and the atrocities it has unleashed on daughters, sisters and children is condemnable. I thank the Prime Minister for saying that our entire country stands with Israel in this hour. Every civilized country of the world has condemned this cruelty”, Chakrapani said.
Chakrapani, who also heads the Sant Mahasabha said that it was his proposal to Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, to accept the offer from him to fight. “Not only the Mahasabha, lakhs of saints from the country will fight for Israel. I myself will be a part of it. Together we will wipe off Hamas from the face of the earth”, he said.
Saint orders in India have a history of fighting against atrocities and for protecting Hinduism. The nawabs of Lucknow were especially famous for trusting and elevating Hindus to the highest positions.
Meanwhile in Ayodhya, under Nawab Shuja-ud-Daulah, many Hindu saints who came to Ayodhya were allowed to settle down and granted plots of land for the erection of temples and dharamshalas for pilgrims. Support for Israel is also brewing in Ayodhya where Jagatguru Paramhans Acharya conducted an 'Ashwamedh yagya' for Israel.
In ancient times, under this form of sacrifice, kings would let loose a horse for a year and would claim all territory as far as the horse roamed unchallenged.
The Jagatguru said, “India’s support to Israel is in keeping with its cultural traditions. India has always supported humanity. To save humanity, terrorism has to be wiped off. Those who are supporting Palestine should be booked for treason.”
