The second day of the INDIA's bloc meeting concluded with the opposition leaders declaring that they will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together "as far as possible". A joint statement was released by the INDIA alliance parties after the meeting on Friday.
The seat-sharing arrangements in different states will be initiated immediately and concluded at the earliest in a collaborative spirit of give-and-take, said the statement.
"We, the INDIA parties, hereby resolve to coordinate our respective communications and media strategies and campaigns with the theme Judega Bharat, Jiteega India in different languages," read the statement.
A 13-member co-ordination committee is likely to be formed comprising senior leaders Sharad Pawar, K.C. Venugopal, M.K. Stalin, Hemant Soren and Tejashwi Yadav among others as well.
