Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was questioned for nearly nine hours by the CBI in connection with its probe into the excise policy case on Sunday. Talking to media after reaching home from the CBI office, the AAP leader said the case is fake and result of dirty politics.
“They want to finish the AAP because they cannot build schools and hospitals as the AAP has done in Delhi and Punjab,” Kejriwal said taking a swipe at the BJP government at the Centre.
Kejriwal said the CBI asked him 56 questions and he answered them all. He also thanked the CBI officials for their “hospitality”, saying they asked questions in friendly and harmonious manner.
The AAP chief arrived at the heavily fortified CBI headquarters around 11 am in his official black SUV, and was taken to the first-floor office of the Anti Corruption Branch where he was quizzed by the investigation team. After nine hours of questioning, he left the building at 8.30 pm.
The Aam Aadmi Party held protests in many areas against the CBI's summons to Kejriwal and several top leaders were detained by police.
