Rahul Gandhi on Saturday paid tributes to the 40 CRPF men who were killed in a suicide attack by militants in February 2019 during his Bharat Jodo Yatra at Lethpora, Pampore, in south Kashmir’s Pulwama.

Gandhi placed flowers at the spot where the attack took place. The Yatra was stopped until he finished paying tributes to the fallen CRPF men.

He restarted the Yatra this morning from Cherspoo at Awantipora in Pulwama after a day's halt following the alleged security lapse at Jawahar Tunnel on Friday.

Gandhi started his Yatra on September 7 from Kanyakumari. The Yatra will conclude in Srinagar on January 30 with Rahul Gandhi hoisting the national flag at the party headquarters. He will also address the press and a gathering of regional party leaders at a stadium in Srinagar.
