A 112 feet tall bust of Adiyogi Shiva will be unveiled at Chikkaballapura near Bengaluru by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on January 15, the Isha Foundation said on Tuesday. The bust is an exact replica of the one at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, it said.

Sadhguru, the founder of Isha Foundation, and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will attend the event to be held at 'Sadhguru Sannidhi' at 6 pm.

A 21-day Adiyogi Ratha Yatra that began in the last week of December is currently underway at Chikkaballapura ahead of the event. The yatra is inviting communities from Avalagurki, where Sadhguru Sannidhi is situated, and surrounding villages, to the event, the foundation said in a statement.

The unveiling will be followed by a 14-minute light and sound show mapped on the statue. The show titled 'Adiyogi Divya Darshanam' will be held every evening starting January 15, the statement said.

The event will also see performances by Isha Samskriti students and the Sounds of Isha.

Sadhguru, who had performed a 'Naga Pratishta', the consecration of the Sacred Naga, at the Sannidhi in October 2022, will consecrate a 'Yogeshawara Linga' near the Adiyogi statue. The Sannidhi will also house a 'Linga Bhairavi' temple and two 'Theerthakunds' or “energized water bodies”, the statement said.

The Adiyogi statue in Coimbatore has been listed as an “Incredible India” destination by the Tourism Ministry. The statue has also been recognised by the Guinness World Records as the "largest bust sculpture" in the world, the foundation said.
