A Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead by militants in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened at Choudhary Gund village. The victim was identified as Pooran Krishan Bhat. He was attacked by the militants while he was outside in the lawn of his house. According to unconfirmed reports, Bhat was shifted to a nearby hospital but he succumbed to the injuries.
However, after the attack, the area was cordoned off by the security forces and a hunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
In a video taken at the hospital, where Bhat was taken for treatment, his relatives could be seen crying.
