Will take part in floor test: Shinde

Former Maharashtra Minister and leader of 'rebel' Shiv Sena group Eknath Shinde told presspersons that they would take part in the Floor test at Maharashtra Assembly tomorrow.

Shinde along with a few other rebel legislators visited the Kamkhya temple in Guwahati on Wednesday morning and told presspersons that they will attend the Floor test on Thursday. “We will take part in the floor test tomorrow.” He added that he prayed for the welfare of people in Maharashtra at the temple. The rebel group is currently camping in Guwahati.

According to reports, the Shinde group is expected to travel to Goa on Wednesday and travel from there to Maharashtra for the Floor test on Thursday. Shinde claims that he has the support of 50 legislators including 40 Shiv Sena MLAs. The Maharashtra government recently stripped nine rebel ministers of their portfolios.
