Almost nine months after he was arrested on charges of possessing drugs, Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, has got a clean chit from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Media reports said the NCB filed its charge-sheet in the case on Friday in a court.

Aryan was arrested with others on charges of possession and consumption of drugs. However, soon after he was arrested, claims emerged Aryan was being unfairly targeted by some NCB officials, in particular its Mumbai unit chief Sameer Wankhede.

A special investigation team formed by the NCB acknowledged due procedures were not followed in the arrest of Aryan Khan.

A press note from the NCB said complaint against six of the 14 accused in the case was not being filed due to insufficient evidence.
