Two non-locals were shot at by suspected militants at Litter in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday evening. Sources said the victims are residents of Pathankot in Punjab and were working as the driver and helper of a poultry vehicle.

The duo were rushed to the sub-district hospital. One of the injured, with a bullet injury in the chest on the left side, was later shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment. The other is being treated for a leg injury.

The police reached the spot to look for clues about the attackers. The attack happened on the first day of the holy month of Ramzan and has created fear in the area.
