India's youngest mayor to tie the knot. Meet the groom

Arya Rajendran, mayor of Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram corporation, had made news when she took up the post to become the country's youngest mayor in 2020. Now, she is all set to get hitched to Sachin Dev, the youngest MLA in the state assembly.

Though the wedding date has not been officially announced, it is expected to occur soon after the CPM state committee meeting, Onmanorama reported.

Sachin and Arya have known each other since they worked for Bala Sangham, Kerala's largest children's organisation. Sachin is the state secretary of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) and and the All India joint secretary of SFI. He completed his degree in English at Government Arts and Science College, Kozhikode and LLB at Government Law College, Kozhikode. He was the former chairman of the Government Arts and Science College, Kozhikode.

Arya Rajendran is also the state president of Bala Sangham. She is a state committee member of the SFI. She was elected from Mudavanmukal ward from Nemom assembly constituency at the age of 21.
