A week after the Aam Aadmi Party announced its chief ministerial face for the Punjab polls based on public choice, the party is continuing to look at further public involvement.

At a press conference on Monday, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal appealed to Delhi residents to promote the party on social media. Kejriwal made the appeal as the party launched its social media campaign for the assembly polls in five states.

The social media campaign has been called 'Ek Mauka Kejriwal Ko (Give Kejriwal a chance)'. Kejriwal was quoted by NDTV as saying, “Upload videos on good works of Delhi government and tell people how you benefited from it on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. Also WhatsApp people known to you in these [poll-bound] states, appealing them to give a chance to Kejriwal.”

Kejriwal urged Delhi residents to share videos highlighting his government's work in areas such as school education, health care and public amenities. “In the last seven years, the AAP government has done a lot of remarkable work in Delhi. People from United Nations came to visit Mohalla Clinics and the US president’s wife came to see Delhi’s schools. We are providing 24-hour free electricity to people. It was possible only because people of Delhi gave us the opportunity... Do you want that this good work should be replicated in other parts of the country? People of these (poll-bound) states should also get free 24-hour electricity, good roads, better schools and better health care facilities,” Kejriwal was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Kejriwal even had a 'reward' for the video creators who made the most impact. Kejriwal said that after the polls, he would have dinner with 50 people whose videos had the most viral impact.
